Crawl, Walk, Jump, Run Therapy Clinic
This intensive therapy treatment is based on the Adeli suit. The suit consists of a modified vest, shorts, kneepads, and shoes. The pieces of the suit are laced together with flexible bungee-like cords that can be adjusted to provide varying pounds of pressure to needed muscle groups. These tension cords form a sort of outer "skeleton" and are tightened to support and correct weak muscles. Through the system of elastic rubber bands, a child's body is aligned as close to normal as possible. The therasuit may or may not be used when performing exercises in the universal exercise unit (also know as the monkey or spider cage).
This program uses a very unique cage-like device to perform a variety of exercises from strengthening to stretching to gait training on a treadmill. It also utilizes a system of pulleys to isolate muscle groups. Your child is able to experience more independent movements including sitting, standing, 4-point, squats, jumping and many other transitions.
